It is proven that a moment of silence can decrease stress and improve your health. If you take time to untangle your mind to pray or just reflect your body will thank you for it. Silence can create calmness and peace and benefit your body. Sometimes I get upset about what I have to do at school and stressed about all the homework but if I relax it helps. Others may think sitting in silence is a waste of time but if it gives your brain a jumpstart and improves your health how could that be a waste? If God says “be still and know that I am God” then maybe we should listen to his advice sometimes.A moment of silence also can be good for organizing your day and improving your mood. If you take the time to think about what all you need to do and also give yourself a pep talk you will find your mood will improve immediately. Wallace v. Jefferson said that a moment of silence is a most sucessful stradedgy. I forget homework that needs to be turned in or things Im supposed to do but if I spent a few moments in the morning thinking about each class and what I need to do that would help. This would also help my mood. Some may say I should just write things down to remember but I even forget to look at what I write down. So I think a moment of silence would be more helpful.
I believe a moment of silence each day before class starts would help students and teachers be more calm and organized. I also believe it would help our health. Experts have proof that a moment of silence helps your health. We need a moment of silence. I would ask the people in school to start voting for a moment of silence so we can have peace.
